ARF’s core mission is the rescue of dogs and cats who have run out of time at public shelters, giving them a chance at life until a new home can be found. ARF couples this focus with innovative programs strengthening the human animal bond for children, seniors, veterans and people in disadvantaged circumstances. Our CEO, Kevin Fick, is a proud board member for this vital organization.

The mission of Dogs 4 Diabetics is to provide quality medical alert assistance dogs to insulin-dependent diabetics through programs of training, placement and follow-up services. D4D also develops, promotes and advocates standards of quality, performance, support and disclosure for all medical assistance programs. Our CEO, Kevin Fick, volunteers his time with this organization as a Board Advisor.

Now a fixture in downtown Oakland, CA, Cat Town Cafe was the first cat cafe opened in the US, and is one of the few run as a non-profit. The sole mission of Cate Town Cafe? Find permanent homes for cats housed in Oakland’s overburdened municipal shelter. Founded as an expansion of Cat Town’s successful foster-based adoption program, the cafe enables people to interact with adoptable cats in an open, safe and fun environment far away from the cages of a typical shelter.

The Milo Foundation was established as an alternative for homeless pets throughout California, and occasionally beyond. In addition to community education, volunteer opportunities, and adoption services, Milo provides sanctuary for animals needing more time and space to have a quality of life until the special homes they need can be found.The Milo Sanctuary is located on 283 acres in Mendocino County, offering lots of room for rescued animals to run and play. The Milo Sanctuary houses primarily dogs and cats, and an increasing number of horses and other farm animals.

The Marin Humane is an independent non-profit organization focused on transforming lives through exceptional animal care, humane education, and advocacy. Every day, their goal is to inspire compassion and positive relationships between people and animals. Founded over 110 years ago, Marin Humane strives to place as many animals as possible into loving homes, in addition to promoting the benefits of pet adoption. Their shelter is located in Novato, CA, just up the road from PetWise’s corporate headquarters.
