Job Summary:

As part of a growing Amazon team, PetWise is looking for an Amazon Account Analyst who can be fully dedicated to the tactical support of growing Amazon North America. This person will ensure that PetWise is consistently developing relationships and increasing brand opportunities with key stakeholders at Amazon by managing internal and external projects.

Overview of the Role

The Amazon Account Analyst will report into the Amazon Account Manager and be responsible for overall daily maintenance of the business and customer experience, including the development of weekly performance reports, project management of business plans with Amazon, and components of promotional plans that drive the overall growth strategies and goals for the business. They will support the Amazon Account Manager in mining the necessary data and executing the essential tasks to build stronger, more informed relationships between PetWise, Amazon, and ultimately shoppers.

The Amazon Account Analyst will work closely and communicate with key internal cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Operations, Product Development, and Pricing to ensure the business is tracking against all agreed upon KPIs from an internal perspective to achieve ongoing goals.

This is a hybrid role based in Ferndale, WA. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the demand planning model and ensure its ongoing accuracy and relevance
  • Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies
  • Conduct forecast maintenance and update forecast models based on changes in market and business trends, monthly at minimum
  • Attend and actively participate in sales and supply chain meetings, providing insights and recommendations based on demand planning analysis
  • Support the S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) processes by providing detailed demand insights
  • Other duties as assigned

Demand Forecasting:

  • Utilize historical sales data along with market and retailer trends to develop accurate demand forecasts. Work closely with sales and marketing teams to understand promotional activities and seasonal demand and ordering shifts.

Inventory Optimization:

  • Collaborate with procurement and production planning teams to align inventory levels with forecasted demand, ensuring optimal stock availability.
  • Implement strategies to reduce excess inventory and minimize stockouts at retailers

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Account Management, Marketing, Operations, and Finance departments to align demand forecasts with sales strategies, production capacities, and financial objectives.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Utilize advanced analytics and data visualization tools to present demand forecasts and inventory levels to senior management.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand planning accuracy and inventory health.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Continuously refine forecasting techniques, methodologies, and data analysis processes.
  • Identify and implement best practices in demand planning to drive efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Possess a minimum of 3 years experience in demand planning, inventory management, or a closely related function within a manufacturing or retail environment.
  • Exhibit strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a proven ability to interpret and leverage large sets of data to make informed decisions.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in forecasting methodologies and inventory management practices.
  • Have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with senior management.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI) and familiarity with ERP and demand planning software.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, twist and turn.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to use a computer keyboard and calculator.
  • Work environment is indoors, majority of the time is spent sitting at a desk.

SALARY RANGE:

The base salary range is 45K – 85K. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, location, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.
